If I have allergies to certain foods, how will I know which of your beverages I can safely drink?
As a company whose products are enjoyed by millions of people every day, the health and safety of our consumers is of utmost importance to us. We want everyone to be able to enjoy our products without concern. For people with food allergies, we comply with the labeling requirements of the U.S. Food & Drug Administration's Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act (FALCPA). Under FALCPA rules, if any of the eight major food allergens are present in one of our products, it is identified on the product's label.
Is there anything in particular I should look out for?
The eight FALCPA-recognized allergens are: milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, crustacean shellfish, wheat and soy. They account for over 90% of all documented food allergies in the U.S. and represent the foods most likely to result in severe or life-threatening reactions. The accompanying chart shows which, if any of these eight common allergens are present in each of our products. As shown, only a very small number of our products (mostly milk-based dairy beverages) pose any concern to people monitoring these eight allergens.
